Source of Vitamin-C --

The taste of gooseberry is normally very "sour" which clearly indicate the presence of acids; therefore gooseberry is also named as "amla" (acid). Clinical analysis of gooseberry clearly concluded that the sour taste of gooseberry is due to the presence of "ASCORBIC ACID".
Ascorbic acid is nothing but Vitamin C, which is a very significant bio-molecule for normal metabolism of an individual.

Immune system activator --

Cut the gooseberry into small pieces and subject it for sun drying. To enhance the taste add proportionate amount of salt and dry it. Consume the dried gooseberry every morning (with empty stomach) to increase the immune power.
