MEDICINAL IMPORTANCE OF GINGER: Treatment of cough & common cold, digestive stimulant.

Ginger belongs to  a family called Zingiberaceae & scientific name is Zingiber officinale. Rhizome or root of this plant is exclusively used as spice and medicine.

Ginger for cough & common cold:

Ginger tea
Add pieces of ginger to a boiling water. Add drops of lemon juice and pinch of salt. 
consume this "ginger tea" three times per day so as to get rid off cough. Since ginger is very much spicy it'll help to remove the excess of sputum (pale yellow mucous); thereby one can get rid off common cold also
NOTE: 
Adding pepper & mint to the ginger is also preferred. Make sure that your body is capable enough to sustain the heat produced by ginger & pepper.

 

Ginger as digestive stimulant:

Ginger mixture
Cut & make small pieces of ginger and keep it for sun drying for one day. Next day add salt & lemon juice in proper proportion and again keep it for sun drying. Make sure that ginger pieces have grasped lemon juice and salt content to an appreciable extent. If not again add salt & lemon juice, mix thoroughly and keep for sun drying. 
Store it in an air tight container.
After lunch/dinner have 3-5 pieces of ginger mixture and chew it for about 10 minutes & drink 1/2 liter of water.
This is a very good therapy for proper digestion. 

NOTE: 
Don't forget to take enough amount of water or else it may create some sought of burning sensation in stomach during mid night....!!!
